The Operator I
- Level 1 plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production or processing equipment within the facility. This entry-level position focuses on monitoring machinery, performing routine inspections, and maintaining operational standards to meet production goals. The operator will be responsible for identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment.

This role requires adherence to established protocols and collaboration with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the Operator I contributes to the overall productivity and quality standards of the organization by executing assigned tasks with precision and reliability.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical aptitude, the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols, strong attention to detail, and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, familiarity with standard safety practices and quality control procedures, basic computer skills for data entry and reporting, the ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or overtime as required, and certification in equipment operation or safety training programs.

Responsibilities include monitoring and operating production equipment according to standard operating procedures, conducting routine inspections and performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality, recording operational data and reporting any irregularities or equipment issues to supervisors, following safety guidelines and participating in safety training to maintain a hazard-free workplace, and collaborating with team members and supporting other departments as needed to meet production targets.

Required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for daily monitoring and operation of machinery, ensuring that equipment runs efficiently and safely. Communication skills enable the operator to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members and supervisors. The ability to follow instructions and safety protocols is critical to maintaining a safe work environment and preventing accidents.
