Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a material handler to operate forklifts and support our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
- Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
- Pull jobs for production, inbound forms, inventory tags, and counts on materials received or shipped.
- Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
- Follow rules and procedures for forklift operation, including reporting any missing, broken, bent, or worn parts to the supervisor or maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 8+ months of prior working experience.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, during the week and weekends.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a PCA certified forklift license.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to work a 3rd shift:
Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated longevity of at least eight months of previous employment. Preference is given to candidates with previous experience.

- Experience: Demonstrated longevity of at least eight months in previous employment. Preference is given to candidates with previous experience.
- Agility: Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout the shift with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Starting salary: $24.57 per hour.
- Bonus:
Annual bonus based upon achievement of plant performance metrics. - Paid vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata during the initial year of hire based on the start date within the calendar year.
