Pay: $13.00 to $20.00 per hour
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast‑tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day‑to‑day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. The position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The role also analyzes store financial statements, commits to the asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions.
Employees work with a wide variety of products, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly, professional manner and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and follow all procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, store systems, and enterprise reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
- Maintain operating standards at or above First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profit objectives.
- Keep up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (e.g., standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Demonstrated supervisory ability.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Flexible to work in multiple locations.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee works 45+ hours per week; hours are based on business needs and not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; can operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
