Position: Customer Service/ Inside Sales Representative

The Customer Service/ Inside Sales Representative is responsible for executing the daily functions of the Sales Department including order entry and coordinating with various departments to expedite orders and meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Promptly and professionally respond to, and forward inbound phone and email inquiries
  • Meet order entry accuracy goals
  • Providing necessary customer documents: packing lists, certifications, proforma invoices, etc.
  • Following up on quotations, leads, and lost customers
  • Assisting with new item number creation and our corrective action process
  • Coordinate frequently with the Production Manager to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate and work well with all levels of management, employees, and above all, customers
  • Assist in quoting when requested
  • Assist in customer returns and exchanges
  • Perform back-up duties for other sales team members
  • Must be willing to assist in other areas as directed by the Sales Manager
  • Continually strive to meet customer satisfaction
  • Set and achieve quarterly goals that are in line with company goals
  • Follow all requirements of the Polymet Employee Handbook and safety policies
  • Understand and follow all Polymet Quality Management System (QMS) documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Minimum
  • Business related associates degree from accredited university
  • Committed to providing outstanding service to our customers
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • 3-5 years of experience serving customers
  • Excellent people and phone skills
  • High potential based on our standard assessment test
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to travel 1-2 times per year for 3-5 days per trip
Preferred
  • Metals industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of aerospace material specifications
