As a Wiring Technician you will:
- Install electrical wiring systems for switchgears, UPS, panel boards, lighting, switches, outlets, and transformers
- Install conduits, electrical wires, and cables
- Ensure conduit installation complies with electrical codes
- Install ladder cable trays and basket cable trays
- Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware, and connect wiring to them
- Install power feeders to equipment
- Install branch circuits
- Inspect electrical systems to ensure proper installation is up to code
- Install low voltage/control wiring
- Terminate power feeders (compression lugs), branch circuits, and control wiring
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Full Time – Temporary Contractor to Permanent Employee
The ideal Wiring Technician will have:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Proficiency in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and speak English
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
- Capability of pulling wires and cables through conduits and cable trays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
