Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including using and caring for shop tools, practicing good housekeeping, and performing basic building maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by observing good housekeeping practices at all times.
- Use and care for basic shop tools such as grinders, saws, drills, and bearing presses, ensuring all tools are replaced after use.
- Safely and properly use acetylene torches for cutting and heating tasks.
- Perform basic plumbing techniques such as soldering pipes and cutting/gluing PVC.
- Replace basic component parts on equipment, including valves, bearings, filters, and V-belts.
- Perform basic building maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, and building repairs.
- Conduct wire belt and plastic conveyor repairs.
- Apply working knowledge of chain/sprocket and belt/pulley systems, including the ability to break and splice various types of chains.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Performing preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting, particularly with low voltage systems involving photo eyes and sensors.
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience or a trades school certificate in industrial maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting motors and gearboxes.
- Preferred experience with conveyor systems.
- Maintenance technicians are required to have their own tools.

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is 11pm-7:30am, including every other Saturday. The role involves using industrial equipment and tools, requiring adherence to safety protocols. The dress code is practical and safety-focused, ensuring comfort and protection while performing maintenance tasks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
