Logistics Specialist

Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the transportation and logistics team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

• Provide logistics support including order entry, routing, dispatching, and traffic coordination.
• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
• Update account managers on problem loads and communicate load status to receivers and customers.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely and condition-compliant arrivals.
• Coordinate delivery appointments, validate load data, and provide detailed routing instructions to drivers.

• At least 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
