Pharmacy Inventory Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Inventory Technician maintains accurate inventory levels, supports smooth material flow, and ensures operational supplies are available across the facility. This role handles receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, supports day-to-day operations, and collaborates with internal teams to improve efficiency, accuracy, and organization within a laid-back and growing environment.
Responsibilities
* Maintain appropriate stock levels for operational materials and supplies used across the facility to ensure continuous workflow.
* Initiate replenishment activities in a timely manner to prevent interruptions to pharmacy and facility operations.
* Monitor incoming orders and communicate delivery status and any delays to internal stakeholders.
* Accept and process incoming materials, verifying accuracy, and ensuring proper labeling and storage according to internal procedures.
* Keep inventory records current and accurate within internal tracking systems or inventory software.
* Respond to internal requests by pulling and delivering materials to designated locations within the facility.
* Prepare work areas with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies to support daily operations.
* Assist with organization of storage areas and workstations to maintain an orderly and efficient environment.
* Support general housekeeping activities, including breaking down packaging and disposing of materials in a safe and organized manner.
* Assist with equipment movement, layout adjustments, and stocking activities as needed to support operational changes.
* Partner with operations and production teams to resolve inventory-related issues and ensure materials are available when needed.
* Identify opportunities to improve material flow, organization, or tracking practices and share recommendations with the team.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and overall inventory control.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including inspection of materials and verification of shipments.
* Handle material movement and material handling tasks within warehouse, retail, or pharmacy-related areas as needed.
Essential Skills
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Prior experience in inventory, logistics, warehouse, or pharmacy operations is strongly preferred.
* Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment.
* Experience with inspection of incoming materials and verification of shipments.
* Material handling skills, including moving, stocking, and organizing inventory.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet or moving throughout the day.
* Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and labeling.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain orderly storage areas.
* Dependable and proactive work style with the ability to work independently.
* Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team in an operational or pharmacy setting.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* Associate's degree or related certification is preferred.
* Forklift certification is a plus, but not required.
* Familiarity with basic purchasing systems or inventory software is a plus.
* Experience in retail, warehouse, or shipping and receiving environments is beneficial.
* Comfort working in a growing organization with evolving processes.
* Interest in contributing to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
Work Environment
This role operates in a pharmacy and warehouse-related environment that supports a growing organization with a very laid-back culture. The Pharmacy Inventory Technician works primarily on-site, handling physical materials, moving equipment, and organizing storage areas. The position requires being on your feet or moving throughout most of the day and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks.
Work hours for this role are from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., supporting later-shift operations and material flow. The environment emphasizes teamwork, dependability, and proactive communication, with a focus on maintaining clean, organized work spaces and safe handling of materials and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
