About the RoleSAF-HOLLAND is seeking a strategic and results-driven hands‑on 2nd Shift Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse Supervisor (Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM; flexible with other shifts and hours) to lead our 2nd shift warehouse distribution employees. Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and related administrative functions. This position is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, coordinating outbound and inbound freight activity, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production and customer service needs, and ensuring that all departmental activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse, distribution environment with computerized inventory systems, shipping and receiving documentation, inventory accuracy, and team supervision. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling personnel, including employees performing pick and pack functions.
- Compile shipping orders from the business system and prepare all required shipping documentation, labels, and related paperwork.
- Schedule freight carriers, coordinate pickups and deliveries, and communicate with carriers to verify proof of delivery (POD) information for customer service representatives.
- Perform key‑entry of receiving and shipping documents into the business system as needed to ensure accurate and timely record‑keeping.
- Maintain work orders for kitted products and support planning activities to help maintain proper inventory levels.
- Conduct inventory audits, analyze discrepancies, and correct stock records to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
- Monitor departmental productivity, workflow, and performance to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse employees to ensure they understand job expectations, procedures, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular employee performance discussions.
- Maintain frequent, two‑way communication with employees to share business updates, reinforce expectations, and promote a culture of trust and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, ethics, safety rules, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
- Promote and enforce a safe work environment by ensuring proper use of safety equipment, adherence to operating procedures, and immediate reporting of accidents or incidents.

- One year of related experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a similar environment is required.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience using computerized inventory systems required. SAP is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write clear and simple correspondence and communicate effectively with employees, carriers, and internal departments.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
