Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
We are hiring for a great client in Fairhaven, MA. This is an on-site contract opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will support students by implementing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting.
Responsibilities- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct therapy services to students to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate service logs
- Support students with classroom participation and functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to carry over therapy strategies into the classroom
- Assist with preparing therapy materials and adapting equipment as needed
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active MA COTA license required
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
