To clean parts and components for Segers Aero Corporation customer aircraft, engines, engine accessories, and propellers. This position may work with hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks. The position is considered safety‑sensitive in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations, and as such, the position is subject to drug and alcohol testing per DOT FAA regulations.

• Cleans aviation parts with PRF
  680 (mineral spirit), glass and plastic bead.
• Prepares for painting by cleaning, stripping, sanding, or chemically treating if needed.
• Preps accessory parts (clean, tape, aluminum prep, alodine) for paint.
• Cleans prep area before, after, and during operations.
• Maintains a clean workstation free from Foreign Object and or Debris (FOD), ensures tooling is properly stored.
• Maintains a clean/safe workspace free from spills or obstructions which may lead to harm.
• Properly disposes of excess materials throughout the operation.
• Works in accordance with applicable FAR’s, bulletins, maintenance manuals and acceptable practices.
• Must be able to perform duties with little or no supervision.
• Works to production schedule as directed by manager/lead.
• Must read routing tags/sheets/traveler and follow directives.
• Travels as required.
• Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of the department and promote improvement.
• Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
• Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (safety‑glasses, ear plugs, face shields, etc.).

• Proficient in using a variety of hand tools, special tools, and GSE required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
• Can work with little or no supervisor and take initiative.
• Can maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co‑workers and supervisors.
• Can use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.
• Can apply common sense.
• Can effectively read, write and communicate in English.
• Proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Can add, subtract, multiply and divide using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates, and interpret graphs.
• Can comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.
• Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally.
• Can see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Can hear running machinery.
• Can use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.
• Has exceptional eye‑hand coordination.
• Can regularly reach overhead.
• Can stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed.
• Can walk around regularly using steps occasionally.
• Can provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.

• Must be at least 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional hands‑on experience, including manual work or entry level craftsmanship required.
• Minimum of 1 year troubleshooting of aircraft, automotive and/or industrial engines and equipment or completion of an Aviation School is preferred.
