Description
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, our Falls Manufacturing Company in Fairless Hills, PA, a division of U-Haul has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD Draftsperson.
Responsibilities
The CAD Draftsperson will be responsible for assisting the engineering department in creation of engineering documentation for new product development, existing product improvements and existing product support.

• Create 2D and 3D detailed drawings utilizing pertinent views, cross sections, detail views, and critical dimensions to support CNC equipment and the manufacturing process.
• Create drawings and documentation of existing welding and robotic fixtures.
• Update plant layout drawings as production requirements change.
• Work with the engineering to resolve manufacturing related issues as necessary.
• Expect to spend at least 50% of the time hands on in the shop with manufacturing personnel and 50% in the engineering department working on drawings, time studies, BOM, BOO, and other engineering support activities.

Qualifications

• Degree/certificate in mechanical drafting, or equivalent experience, preferred.
  Metal fabrication component knowledge preferred but not required.
• CAD competency and proficiency with AutoCAD 2014 and Auto Desk Inventor are critical to this position. Knowledge of Geometric Design & Tolerancing desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) helpful.
• Successful candidate must be organized, have attention to detail and have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Must have the ability to write, speak and read in English.
• Must be willing to work hands-on in a metal fabrication and welding facility.

1st shift hours are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday
- Friday, or as needed based on required on-going projects.
