Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Cable Technician / Data Center Support Technician to join our team in Fairless Hills, PA. This position provides technical support to end users while assisting with data center operations, network infrastructure, and low-voltage cabling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cat 5/Cat 6 cabling, basic networking knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Document, track, and monitor support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling.
• Support network infrastructure, workstation deployments, and equipment installations.
• Assist with server rack installations, cable management, and data center operations.
• Follow work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accurate records in ticketing, inventory, and asset management systems.
• Escalate issues as needed to ensure efficient resolution.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, telecom, low-voltage cabling, or a related field.
• Experience with Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established procedures.

Required Certifications

• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following environments:

• Low-voltage cabling
• Telecommunications
• Data centers
• Construction

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 35 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver server racks, carts, and equipment safely as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and wearing required PPE.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines.

Education

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience, training, and certifications will be considered.

This is a Contract position based out of Fairless Hills, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
