Safety & Human Resources Specialist

Fairmont Foods is seeking a dedicated Safety & Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace while supporting key human resources functions. The ideal candidate will lead our safety initiatives, maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, and assist with HR processes to help foster a positive and productive work environment. This is a full time position that will report to the Human Resources Manager.

• Lead and manage the company’s safety program, including organizing the safety team, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, state, federal, and local regulations.
• Stay current with safety standards and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Administer workers’ compensation processes and documentation.
• Investigate employee safety incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Facilitate site inspections and maintain safety inspection records.
• Manage and stock safety and first aid supplies.
• Coordinate the Emergency Response Plan, including organizing and conducting drills.
• Assist with new employee orientations and onboarding processes as assigned.

• Previous experience in safety and human resources roles.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently prioritize daily tasks.
• Excellent time management and follow-up abilities.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
