Metal Fabrication Welder

About the role

At Wiederhoeft Manufacturing, you will turn drawings into durable products. Your day begins by reviewing part prints or job specifications, planning your own setups, and assembling components with care and speed. Throughout the build, you verify work against specifications and make any needed adjustments to keep quality on target.

If you have welding experience, can interpret drawings, follow written and verbal directions, and enjoy solving problems in a manufacturing setting, we encourage you to apply.

What you'll doSet up your own jobs and work from part prints and job specifications.

Assemble components accurately and efficiently.

Check finished work for conformance to prints/specifications and make corrections as required.

Use measuring tools such as a tape measure and calipers; work comfortably with fractions and decimals.

Apply strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and practical computer skills on the floor.

Tools and equipment you'll handle

Forklift operation.

Hand tools along with a press brake, band saw, grinder, and plasma cutter.

Physical expectations and work style

Lift and move heavy items (50–75 lbs.) and remain on your feet or in physically demanding positions for extended periods.

Work as a collaborative, team-oriented contributor.

Bring ownership, accountability, and responsibility to every task.
