Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintain organization of books and other materials in Folklife Center library

* Archive physical items and assist with digital archives

* Help to organize and set up exhibits

* Serve as a docent; give tours and provide general information

* Assist in planning and hosting events

* Work independently on special projects like social media campaigns, graphic design, folklife research, and other creative projects.

* General office support: take community telephone calls, photocopying, filing, etc.

* Help weed, plant, and maintain the garden

Minimum Qualifications

* Organized

* Possess strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with the public

* Good writing and word processing skills

* Able to work independently on assigned tasks

Notes to Applicant

Students will need to be available to work during office hours (Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) and have the flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends to support events hosted at the Folklife Center.
