Job DescriptionThe Social Media / Event Coordinator supports the Office of Student Success by promoting programs, services, and campus engagement initiatives through digital platforms and event coordination.
Responsibilities- Creating, scheduling, and publishing content for official Fairmont State Student Success social media accounts.
- Monitoring and responding to engagement (comments, messages, tags) in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining a social media content calendar aligned with institutional priorities.
- Assisting with planning, promoting, and executing Student Success and campus-wide events.
- Capturing photos and video content at events for marketing and outreach purposes.
- Supporting website updates and digital communication efforts.
- Collaborating with campus partners and student organizations toshare relevant content.
- Performing general clerical duties including data entry,answering phones, and preparing materials.
- Ensuring compliance with Fairmont State University branding, communication standards, and Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
- Ability to handle responsibilities in accordance with FERPA and confidentiality standards.
