Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of the Falcon Center Day Camp run the daily operations of the camp.
* Facilitates lesson plans for daily activities.
* Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
* Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
* Organizes and leads various small and large group activities.
* Maintains a schedule for camp participants.
* Mediates any campers' disputes.
* Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
* Records and tracks camper's dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them.
* Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of campers at all times.
* Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be 18 years old and able to offer an array of childcare skills.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to multitask.
* Able to communicate effectively with staff and campers (ages 6 - 12) and their parents.
* Must be active and willing to participate in all recreational activities.
* All counselors must provide appropriate paperwork and pass a criminal background screening.
* CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to get certified.
