Job Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as a flight instructor for Fairmont State University.

* Will teach flight lessons according to the Fairmont State Part 141 syllabus, including all policies and procedures associated with record keeping.

* Will instruct on the simulator.

* Will be responsible for pre- and post-flight briefings.

* Will report all aircraft problems immediately up discovery.

* Will keep safety of student and instructor as our top priority and make decisions accordingly with regard to weather, student knowledge and abilities, and other external factors.

* Will adhere to schedule as posted by Program Manager and Chief.

* Assist with recruiting activities, including some travel to regional schools and events.

* Attend and participate in staff meetings.

Minimum Required Education Minimum Expectations

Instructors must have FAA-approved CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) or CFII (Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument) ratings.

Preferred Qualifications Special Conditions

Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.
