Student Leadership Program Coordinator

Design, implement, and evaluate 9-12 student leadership programs. Lead the development and continuous improvement of student leadership initiatives, by helping the student council advisors establish their program goals and objectives, identifying best practices, procuring or developing high-quality resources and tools, and implementing a comprehensive program evaluation process that fosters leadership development among students in all three high schools.

Develop and communicate an annual calendar of events, including leadership learning sessions, recognition programs, conferences, summits, and other student leadership experiences.

Recruit and secure qualified facilitators, speakers, and teaching leaders from local, state, and national organizations to support leadership learning opportunities.

Communicate effectively with students, families, school personnel, community partners, and other stakeholders regarding program initiatives and opportunities.

Identify and secure appropriate venues to support leadership learning sessions, meetings, and events.

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate leadership events and experiences for both large and small groups of participants.

Assist each high school with designing, implementing, and evaluating the 9-12 student leadership programs and projects. Identify best practices, procure or develop high-quality instructional resources, and provide tools and support that meet the current and future needs of student leaders.

Develop and implement equitable recruitment and selection processes. Design and support inclusive recruitment strategies that attract diverse student leadership candidates and provide local high schools with guidance on selection processes aligned with county priorities and organizational goals.

Serve as a liaison between the school district and community partners. Coordinate partnerships with business and community organizations and support the work of the MC BOE that supports student leadership initiatives.

Provide leadership development support to local schools. Support school administrators and teacher leaders in the development and implementation of effective student leadership opportunities and programs.

Provide guidance and professional learning related to best practices in student leadership development for principals, assistant principals, and teacher leaders.

Collaborate with school leadership teams to establish goals, develop annual leadership calendars, and evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness.

Facilitate collaboration and professional learning. Lead regular meetings with 9-12 student leadership Advisors to establish goals, coordinate leadership initiatives, evaluate annual results, share best practices, and provide ongoing professional development.

Foster positive relationships and organizational effectiveness. Establish trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Communicate effectively and professionally with diverse audiences through oral and written communication.

Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs in a timely, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

Demonstrate initiative in identifying challenges, exploring opportunities, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance student leadership programming.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Compensation:
Extracurricular shall be compensated at the rate of $15.00 per hour for extracurricular duties performed. Not to exceed: 75 hours
