CIS Site Resource Facilitator

Overview

Summary - Responsible for overall planning & managing of Communities in Schools (CIS) operations at the school in the implementation of the CIS model of integrated student supports.

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or related field
• Understand and apply basic child and adolescent development principals
• Communicate and develop positive relationships with students
• Adapt, facilitate and evaluate age-appropriate activities for students
• Work with families and the community
• Demonstrate the attitudes and qualities of a positive role model
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and implement appropriate solutions

• Engage a school support team that works closely with school administrators, staff and teachers in the implementation of the CIS model.
• Lead the annual needs assessment process.
• Lead the development and implementation of the school support plan.
• Lead and coordinate the delivery of evidence-based services based on best practice and risk factor research.
• Monitor and adjust services as needed.
• Evaluate the effectiveness at achieving school and student individualized goals.
• Lead the School Support Team in annual reporting.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

200-day contract  school year)

Wirt County Salary Scale for teachers based on degree and years' experience (future years contingent upon grant funding)
