Position: Program Director with Security Clearance

Location:

Hybrid (Fairmont, WV area) Travel:
Required throughout the year during program execution

Position Overview

Lead and manage a STEM and/or technical program from strategic planning through execution. Oversee delivery of hands‑on, technically rigorous initiatives aligned with workforce or educational objectives. Serve as the primary interface between technical staff, academic/industry partners, sponsors, and leadership. Ensure technical accuracy, program quality, and measurable outcomes. Drive continuous improvement to keep programming aligned with evolving industry needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute program plans, schedules, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate instructors, subject matter experts, mentors, and operational staff.
  • Ensure curriculum, labs, workshops, or technical activities meet defined standards.
  • Manage budgets, reporting requirements, and funding compliance (if applicable).
  • Track performance metrics including participation, technical outcomes, and impact.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, or safety risks.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with industry, academia, and/or government stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development, program expansion, and sustainability efforts.
  • Present program updates and results to executive leadership and external partners.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, STEM discipline, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5‑10+ years of experience leading STEM, technical, or engineering‑focused programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi‑disciplinary technical initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of technical curriculum development or applied engineering environments.
  • Experience working with industry, academic institutions, or government sponsors.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to translate high‑level strategy into structured, executable plans.
