This is a 13-week contract position.

36 hours per week, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 12-hour shifts are required.

The Stepdown / Med Surg Nurse will provide care to patients with respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. Nurses will work in a unit with a total of 20 beds, adhering to a patient ratio of 1:3 for stepdown care and 1:5-6 for med-surg patients.

• Care for patients requiring stepdown monitoring and support
• Titrate drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone as required
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor for patient management
• Utilize RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy
• Monitor telemetry and read strips as part of patient assessments

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Previous stepdown nursing experience is necessary
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required for submission
