Registered Nurse - Stepdown/Med Surg
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Stepdown/Med Surg to join our team. The position involves working in a unit with a bed count of 20, handling patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTIs, AKI, and chest pain. As a registered nurse in this unit, you will be required to manage patient care, monitor vital signs, and titrate drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown and med-surg patients.
- Titrate and manage various intravenous drips as per provider orders.
- Monitor and document patients' conditions and report any changes to the House Supervisor.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and training.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in Stepdown nursing required.
