JD Signs is seeking a Field Operations Technician to join our installation and service team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing commercial signage for businesses throughout the region.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting challenges, and delivering quality results customers can depend on. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to represent JD Signs professionally while working at customer locations.

Field Operations Technicians work closely with installation leads, project managers, and production teams to complete signage projects safely, efficiently, and with the craftsmanship and service JD Signs is known for.

• Install commercial signage according to approved drawings and project instructions;
• perform sign service, maintenance, and repair work;
• conduct field surveys and document measurements and site conditions;
• troubleshoot installation and service issues;
• safely operate company vehicles, trailers, lifts, and equipment;
• maintain tools and equipment;
• represent JD Signs professionally at customer locations;
• communicate respectfully with customers and contractors;
• maintain clean and organized jobsites;
• protect customer property and company equipment;
• complete work documentation accurately;
• support team members and daily field operations;
• participate in training and skill development opportunities;
• follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one;
• valid driver's license;
• strong mechanical aptitude;
• ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions;
• ability to lift and move materials safely;
• strong attention to detail;
• dependable work ethic and attendance;
• commitment to safety, quality craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction;
• ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commercial signage experience;
• CDL license;
• bucket truck or aerial lift experience;
• crane certification;
• electrical troubleshooting experience;
• OSHA certifications;
• construction, electrical, or maintenance experience.
