Provide comprehensive employment-based case management services to low‑income individuals and families. Works with participants to develop appropriate case plans and goals. Provides ongoing assessment and support, assists participants in the utilization of internal and community resources to meet the individual/family needs. Processes emergency assistance services to individuals and families.
License/Training/CertificationsValid Driver's License. Other certifications may be required for the position; should be obtained within the first 3‑6 months of accepting the position. Some certifications are provided/paid for by employer. Social Work license preferred.
Job Requirements /Responsibilities- Provide own transportation; carry adequate insurance coverage; complete Criminal Background Check and Protective Services Record Check.
- Drive long distances. Some day or overnight travel may be required for training purposes.
- Organize, communicate, and manage well under pressure.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills. Use of Microsoft Office Software/Products preferred.
- Professional telephone skills and working knowledge of various types of office equipment.
- Work independently and as a team member; interact with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Assist Emergency Assistance clients and process client assistance payment paperwork in a timely manner—paperwork must be completed in its entirety ensuring all required documentation is included.
- Coordinate and work on seasonal county programs such as Garden Program, Forgotten Angel, VITA/EITC Program, and other seasonal or county programs as assigned.
- Manage assigned caseload.
- Assist with removing barriers to finding and maintaining housing and employment.
- Gather and evaluate participants' information regarding employment history, housing situation, physical functioning, financial status, and other program‑specific criteria to determine eligibility for services.
