Service Salary Schedule. Salary based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.

Job Description:

The Half Day School Bus Operator is responsible for operating school buses and other school transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.

• Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements
• Passes the required physical examination
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate

Length of Employment: 200 Days

The Half Day School Bus Operator shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in The Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.
