Position OverviewWoolpert is hiring a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to join our dynamic Site Civil Team. This position reports to the Engineering Team Leader and supports hybrid or in‑office work in St. Louis, MO. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship; applicants must already possess work authorization in the United States.
What You Will Do as a Civil Engineering CAD Technician at Woolpert- Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
- Work with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Perform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports.
- Perform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports.
- Perform occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel as needed.
- Must have an Associate’s degree or technical certification from a technical school, or four (4) years of related experience.
- Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
- Proven ability to multi‑task, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
- Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
- Must have above‑average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply them to practical situations.

$51,100 – $63,900 USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
