Emergency Department Clinical Nurse

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on managing illnesses and post‑treatment needs, and participates in safety, quality, and professional development activities.

• Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Ensures effective communication across the care continuum and adheres to safety protocols.
• Works in a safety‑sensitive role, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety.

• Minimum education:
  
  Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: RN required.
• Preferred experience:
  
  Less than 2 years; ER experience and BSN are advantageous.
