Store Coordinator - Natural

Position Summary

Coordinator team member plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations of their department area, delivering exceptional customer service by managing ordering, receiving, stocking and displaying of related products to maximize profits and maintaining cleanliness and food safety compliance.

• Assist in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths, identifying development needs, and participating in promotion decisions.
• Support disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Attain P&L budgeted goals, achieving sales, labor and margin plans for the department.
• Review sales goals, supply costs, stock loss/shrink results and goals.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Review customer survey and customer feedback from previous day or week.
• Prepare, package, stock, store and display merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure price change compliance and food safety compliance.
• Order manual items as needed.
• Supervise, train and manage the Department Team in the absence of the Dept. Manager, including:
  • Stocking (washing, bundling, trimming) rotating and merchandising products according to department procedure.
  • Removing inferior out-of-code products and ensuring all products are accurately priced.
  • Providing consultation to customers regarding consumer products.
  • Executing advertising compliance including signage.
  • Maintaining a neat, organized backroom.
• Meet or exceed sales floor conditions expectations.
• Ensure team members are thoroughly trained and have completed required training.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Use production planner and fresh dashboard appropriately.
• Perform other daily tasks as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
• Certification:
  Serv Safe Certification.

• Communicate clearly and precisely to team members.
• Resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Consult with customers on all areas pertaining to their department.
• Lead an organization that practices workplace safety.
• Mentor team members in all aspects of the organization.
• Complete all required certifications.

Base pay range: $16.05 – $25.15 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job’s location.
