General Summary
Supports store management in all activities to drive sales and results. Partners with the management team on store priorities with a focus on in-store customer experience, inventory management, omni activities and cashwrap efficiency while promoting a positive work environment and executing operational processes in compliance with company standards and policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain in-store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Responsible for responding to customer and associate requests or feedback with a high sense of urgency.
- Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards. Complete all tasks related to daily open/close including store cleaning, recovery and maintenance standards.
- Review daily communication; plan and execute tasks throughout the day and follow through with required actions.
- Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience.
- Review, understand and clearly communicate daily progress.
- Complete processes as requested related to audits, donations, transfers, mismatches, damages, etc.
- Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow all policy and procedures.
- Participate in inventory related activities including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and mark out of stock (MOOS).
- Assist management with omni activities in store including Charge/Send and Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS).
- Communicate supply needs to ensure successful operations in all areas of the business.
- Help ensure a safe environment for both customers and associates. Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition and report issues to the Store Manager.
- Address associate and customer concerns and escale as needed.
- Support team in associate timekeeping activities.
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues to the Store Manager for follow-up.
- Recognize associates through our company recognition tools.
- Support team by training and coaching associates.
- Perform all other associate duties within store and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other leaders.
- Excellent customer service by exhibiting professionalism, a positive mindset, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move with tempo and hold team accountable to meet time-bound expectations.
- Must have availability to meet the needs of the business including nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside of traditional business hours.
- Proficient in the use of technology to successfully engage in customer interactions (Register, Register Keyboard, iPhone, Calculator).
- Must have the ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
- Lifting, including the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a frequent basis.
- Minimum 2 years' workforce experience.
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
The successful candidate's actual pay rate offer will consider a wide range of job-related factors including skill sets, years and nature of relevant experience, training, pay rates of associates in similar positions, the candidate's location, and other organizational needs. The estimated hiring pay range has been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential. This position may be eligible for additional incentive compensation, which may include bonuses, or other forms of variable pay, subject to applicable program requirements and company discretion.

Pay Range: $16.25 - $21.45 / hour
