We are a NAPA family and are seeking a Counter Sales associate who will be the face of the retail store, assisting customers with automotive parts needs. A background in automotive parts is preferred; curiosity and willingness to learn more about automotive parts is valued. This role supports career growth within the company, whether you want to be a Parts Specialist or explore other opportunities over time.

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the store
• Maintain a customer-focused, energetic approach in a fast-paced environment
• Welcome customers into the store and engage to create a positive experience
• Use technology (computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system)

• Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions
• Have experience in the automotive industry or have tinkered with/repairs on cars and trucks
• Willing to learn all things automotive if the background is not present
• Desire to join a team with learning and career growth opportunities

• Valid Driver's License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers

• Background in automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in a parts store, auction, or auto body/collision
• Knowledge of cataloging or inventory management systems
• Customer-centric approach (external/internal)
• ASE Certifications

• Hourly pay of $18 with potential progression; top end within 12 months based on skills and experience
