SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the review and modification of Defined Contribution plans, managing a team of DC Reviewers and DC Analysts, and conducting research, analysis, and audits of various plans. Additional duties include plan testing, preparation and filing of IRS and DOL forms, participation in client consultation meetings, and plan terminations. The incumbent will also assist in new procedure development and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee and manage a team of Defined Contribution Reviewers and Defined Contribution Analysts
- Review allocations, contributions, forfeiture amounts, annual discrimination tests, Form 5500 and attachments; advise analysts of necessary modifications
- Prepare plan documents and determine the need for amendment
- Monitor timeliness of client service relative to valuation reports, 5500s, and disclosure requirements
- Review overall plan status and communicate with clients regarding matters needing attention
- Prepare special studies and consult with clients and prospective clients as needed
- Assist with plan termination by reviewing calculations, balancing assets, and preparing IRS forms; provide required certifications and fee quotes
- Respond to client inquiries and meet with clients when necessary
- Conduct research and consult with attorneys, accountants, and investment advisors when appropriate
- Prepare and/or review Forms 1099 and 945
- Provide assistance with IRS and DOL notices, programs, and audits
- Assist in determining appropriate client billing
- Communicate with a plan consultant when necessary
- Review and assist with 125 plan administration
- Help DC Analysts resolve problems, conflicts, and issues
- Fill in for DC Analysts when needed
- Implement new procedures and train analysts
- Fulfill ongoing requirements to maintain professional certification
- Complete mandatory and elective training, including BSA and Anti‑Money Laundering procedures, and maintain compliance with all applicable rules and regulations
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance as an essential requirement of this position
- Complete all other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent years of experience in DC and/or management
- Must be a Qualified 401K Plan Analyst
