Join our team as a Dental Receptionist at Rosewood Family Health Center in Portland, OR!
Dental Receptionists play a vital role in our organization by serving as the frontline connection between patients and their oral healthcare. As the first point of contact, you help set the tone for a welcoming, respectful, and patient - centered dental experience. Your work supports the smooth operation of our dental clinics and directly supports YVFWC's mission to deliver high - quality, accessible dental care to the diverse communities we serve.

Position Highlights:
- 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
- $19.91-$24.38/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
- Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked

- Greet and assist patients, answer phones, route calls, and respond to inquiries in person and via electronic systems
- Register new patients, update demographics, and maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Schedule, cancel, and adjust dental appointments in accordance with clinic guidelines
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect required documentation, and assist patients with insurance - related questions
- Perform front - office billing activities, including collecting payments, posting charges, and daily cash reconciliation
- Support patient care by managing referrals, recalls, treatment plan estimates, and upfront fee collection
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year's experience in a clinic, optometry or dental office preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred at a level 9
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast - paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Basic proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
- Basic knowledge of medical or dental terminology
