About the Position
We are looking for an On Call Residential Care Associate I to join our team in the Multnomah County region! The On Call Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients. They will provide personal care services and support that helps individuals develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.
The On Call Residential Care Associate I will assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing, while encouraging client participation. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, they will pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider. They will transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services.
They will maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.
Please keep the following things in mind:
- On Call staff must work a minimum of 32 shift hours per month
On Call staff must attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month (and clinical supervision if a QMHA)
On Call staff must stay current on company training
On Call staff must respond to facility requesting coverage within 2 hours of initial call. In some cases, more notice can be provided.
This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program
With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications, while attending your required, paid training, and receiving qualified clinical supervision gaining on-the-job experience.
Work Schedule: Days/Hours will vary and may include holidays, weekends & night shifts.
What You’ll Make
$21.42 - $22.07 per hour DOE/Credentials.
Differentials:In addition to your base wage, CCS offers the following pay differentials, subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements: Night Shift (NOC) Differential:An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this designated period.Secure Program Differential:
An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.Bilingual Differential:
An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.
What You’ll Need
- Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferredA dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADL’s) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs).
Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
Physical Demands:
