CNC Machinist - Programmer

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Portland, OR. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong setup experience, advanced G-code knowledge, and the ability to improve machining processes and tooling strategies.

This is a day shift position working four 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday.

$32-$40/hr DOE

Monday-Thursday | 5:30am-4:00pm

Direct Hire

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the following:

* CNC horizontal mill setup and operation

* FANUC controls preferred

* Advanced G-code editing and troubleshooting

* Program prove-outs and process optimization

* Creating stable setups and improving run efficiency

* Blueprint reading and machine shop math

* Speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and fixture setup

* Precision inspection and quality verification

* Identifying and correcting machining issues proactively

* Process improvement in a production machining environment

Responsibilities:

* Setup and operate CNC machining equipment

* Prove out and troubleshoot new or existing programs

* Edit and optimize programs at the machine

* Analyze tooling, setups, and machining processes for improvement opportunities

* Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools

* Maintain quality standards and monitor machining performance

* Assist in improving setup consistency and machining efficiency

* Perform preventative maintenance and maintain clean, safe work areas

Qualifications:

* Strong CNC machining background required

* Advanced setup and troubleshooting experience required

* Strong understanding of G & M code

* Horizontal machining center experience preferred

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints independently

* Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining strategies

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

* Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment

* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
