Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of machining equipment to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety. As a Machinist, you will work closely with engineering. operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all parts meet the highest standards.

*** Set up and Operate Equipment:
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to manufacture precision parts.
* Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand the dimensions and tolerances of the work pieces.
* Quality Control:
Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
* Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure efficient operations.
* Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

* Collaboration:

Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and team members to refine designs and improve production processes.
* Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of machining operations, materials used, and any adjustments made to the machines.
* Work collaboratively within an engineering team of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to design new products and upkeep existing product lines.
* Clearly communicate and collaborate with various members of the purchasing team to assist in sourcing manufacturing components.
* Other duties as required.

* Required Qualifications:

* Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining or related field preferred.

* Experience:

2+ years of experience as a Machinist, preferably with CNC equipment.
* Technical

Skills:

+ Proficient in operating various types of machinery, including manual and CNC machines.  + Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.  + Knowledge of G-code and CAD/CAM software is a plus.
* Attention to Detail:
Ability to produce work that meets precise specifications and standards.
* Problem-Solving

Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery as needed to ensure high-quality output.
* Physical Stamina:
Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in a workshop environment.
