About the role:

Reporting to the Stirling Hostel Manager, you will be part of our dedicated and friendly team within our Central Group, ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen on an as and when required basis. Outside these times, you will perform the role of Duty Supervisor.

You will be responsible and deliver the highest standard of food quality and presentation whilst achieving budgetary requirements, maintain the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with our HACCP house rules, and cleaning schedules. This position will include catering for large groups and will involve Housekeeping duties.

Ideally you will have:

* Previous experience of catering for large groups, pastry chef experience, working in busy contract catering environment.

* Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and COSHH regulations and a relevant catering qualification including Elementary Food Hygiene certificate, SVQ/NVQ in catering, food production.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as unsupervised during busy times

* Ability to multitask and work under pressure whilst remaining calm

* Excellent time management skill.

* Desire to learn and a passion for cooking
