Field Service Engineer

Location: Central Scotland

Salary: £35,000+ (with flexibility for higher salaries depending on experience)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing and well-established fire protection business covering Central Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied role working across both commercial and residential environments, carrying out maintenance and servicing of critical life safety systems.

You'll be responsible for maintaining fire alarm and sprinkler systems, delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service work, while providing a professional service to customers throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
  • Respond to reactive service and breakdown callouts.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete service reports and relevant documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients across commercial and residential sites.
  • Manage your workload effectively while working independently in the field.

About You

  • Experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm and/or sprinkler systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Understanding of relevant fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Good customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload.
