Electrician Intern

Duties / Tasks:

• Repair electrical mining equipment and facilities.
• Assist with electrical inspections on mine equipment.
• Work with different voltage electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot motor control circuits, PLC, and digital drive control systems.
• Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal environmental regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required Enrolled in accredited electrical program and in good academic standing.
• Completed a portion of college in the associated field of study intents on completing the degree.
• Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license
• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Able to work rotating shifts.

NOTE:

This position requires working rotating shifts. The role involves approximately 20% indoor work and 80% outdoor work. Employees must be able to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to steel-toe boots, safety glasses, a hard hat, face shield, and respirator. Must also successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and the applicable Job Function Test (JFT).
