Property Accountant

Role Overview

The Property Accountant manages full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of mixed-use properties, including financial reporting, billing, and expense management. This role provides hands‑on experience across retail, commercial, residential, and hospitality assets within a collaborative, onsite environment. The position offers strong growth potential and exposure to diverse property accounting operations.

• Full-time, onsite position
• Requires in‑office attendance five days per week

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple retail and office properties
• Perform month‑end and year‑end close, including financial statement preparation
• Ensure timely payment of mortgages, property taxes, insurance, and utilities
• Prepare CAM (Common Area Maintenance), water, and percentage rent billings
• Support accounting operations and team initiatives as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes (accruals, prepaids, reconciliations)
• Experience with M3, Sage, or similar accounting/ERP systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
