Accounting Assistant

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Growing manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant/Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and finance operations within a collaborative team environment. This position will play a key role in Accounts Payable, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting support while working closely with leadership on process improvements and day-to-day financial operations.

• Support day-to-day Accounts Payable operations including invoice review, coding, approvals, and processing
• Coordinate weekly payments including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Perform vendor reconciliations and assist with account, bank, and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with expense reporting and policy compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, reporting, and audit preparation
• Assist with payroll-related reporting and journal entries
• Help improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiency
• Ensure accuracy, organization, and compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls

• 3–5 years of accounting, Accounts Payable, or accounting support experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes and general accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Experience with in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or similar industries preferred
• Exposure to payroll systems or payroll reporting is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
