Staff Accountant

RMS is a fast-growing company in the toy and licensing industry, and our finance team is scaling right alongside the business. As we continue to build out RMS USA, we're adding a Staff Accountant who wants to be part of that growth, not just maintain the status quo.

This is a hands-on role across the full accounting cycle in an environment where your contributions are noticed and your ideas can shape how we operate. If you've ever wanted to work where spreadsheets meet toy shelves, this is it.

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Perform account reconciliations including bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts
• Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations to support management reporting
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
• Support external and internal audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and process improvements
• Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements as needed

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
