This is an AFSCME, Group 15, full-time, unit position with benefits.
SALARY:$54,868.58 annual. All appointments from outside the collective bargaining agreement begin at step 1.

STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Clerk

V is the primary point of contact for all admissions and enrollment inquiriesat the institutionand provides general administrative support for the Admissions and Recruitment team.

The Clerk

V provides excellent customer service and support to prospective students, returning students, families, community partners, and internal stakeholders in support of the college's mission to increase access to higher education in our region.

The Clerk V also provides backup support to the Admissions

Operations team duringtimes of peakenrollment to ensuretimelyprocessing of student applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as theinitialpoint of contact for a high volume of inquiries related to admissions and enrollment.
  • Provide excellent customerserviceandaccurateinformationto prospective students and family members by phone, in person, via email, and virtually by answering questions and making referrals to other areas of the college.
  • Oversee the management of documents received bymailand email.
  • Receive and process educational documentsrelated to admissions and enrollmentincluding, but not limited to high school transcripts, GED/HiSet, college transcripts, etc.
  • Provide support to the Director in tracking the departmental budget, including processing various forms such as requests for expenditure, budget modifications, travel vouchers, and other budget/expense related documents.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director through duties such as, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, placing telephone calls,assisting with event planning, and making travel arrangements.
  • Establish a basic knowledge of and collaborative relationships with other areas of the college to provide excellent customer service including but not limited to, Admissions, Advising, Transfer and Career Services, Accessand Disability Services, Financial Aid, Testing, Registrar, and College Access; participate in ongoing cross-training as needed to remain current on all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of internal policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to enrollment activities, including FERPA.
  • Support allenrollment events (e.g., information sessions, workshops, open houses, admitted student events, etc.) including, but not limited to check-in facilitation,assistance with applications for admission and financial aid, campus tours, and technicalassistancefor virtual events.
  • Monitor and respond daily to correspondence received on department/divisional email accounts, voicemail inboxes, the Bristol app, and other related modalities.
