Kenworth Northeast is looking for a motivated and reliable
Service Advisor to workat our
Middleton, MA location.

Kenworth Northeast is the face of the Service Department. This position ensures that customers are greeted openly and friendly; coordinates customer repair requests; estimates cost of repairs within set guidelines, assists Service Manager with clerical duties such as documentation required for warranty, policy settlements, repair order filing, and repair preparation for warranty.

Pay range is $28-35

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures customers receive the most expedient service available through questioning and understanding repair requests.
  • Conducts vehicle check-in: must inspect and walk around vehicle to obtain all relevant vehicle information such as VIN, vehicle mileage, etc.; as well as assess any vehicle damage before entering the shop; all information must be recorded on repair order.
  • Ability to upsell any additional repairs based on vehicle inspection.
  • Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Service Foreman for task assignment. Coordinates with Foreman on proper work scheduling of all shop business.
  • Works with the Service Manager to ensure timely action taken and settled in areas of disputes and warranty.
  • Ensures all documentation necessary for sale of labor is complete and properly executed, customer, internal and warranty.
  • Informs the Service Manager of all customer complaints so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.
  • Inputs repair order information into data processing system and closes repair orders.
  • Promotes labor, parts and body shop sales whenever possible.
  • Participates in training to stay current of warranty and technical issues.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and clean shop and office area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in heavy duty or automotive industry or related field.
  • Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to deal with customers in a service and sales capacity.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Must be able to climb in and out of vehicle safely; ability to bend, push, pull during process to inspect vehicle.
