We are looking for a Team Lead in our Commercial Lines Department to support customers and team members across MA and CT, ideally located in our Fall River or Norwood Massachusetts office.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently serve as an available, approachable, and flexible resource for team members.
  • Influence without authority by building trust and respect among peers, fostering teamwork and unity, and promoting a diverse, inclusive environment that values new ideas and perspectives.
  • Proactively identify and address workload and production challenges across the service, support, and new business quoting teams.
  • Ensure work is distributed effectively, stepping in to complete tasks as needed to maintain service standards and meet customer satisfaction goals (approximately 50% of the role).
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of carrier and agency procedures and stay up-to-date on industry changes, including forms, coverage updates, selling trends, and techniques through ongoing education via company communications, bulletins, circulars, and relevant training resources.
  • Serve as a technical and service expert; act as the primary expert on processes, workflows, and customer‑related challenges, taking ownership of the escalation and resolution of complex issues.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agency teams, and carrier partners to establish best practices and streamline processes.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis on quality and service metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in business performance.
  • Create, implement, and update departmental procedures, including proficiency measurements and tracking systems to support the training and development of team members.
  • Participate with management in understanding, crafting, and messaging departmental changes and updates.
  • Contribute to the success of special projects by representing the team, providing subject matter expertise, assessing functional impacts, and supporting implementation and testing efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance people, processes, and technology to drive efficiency and performance improvements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the team and organizational goals.
  • Support new hire onboarding, training and ongoing development, oversee work distribution and training to ensure optimal coverage, and enhance customer experience.
  • Step in for the Team Manager when needed and demonstrate leadership by earning the respect of peers, resolving internal issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Communicate department goals and results clearly, actively contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum five plus years of Commercial Lines insurance experience, ideally with small to mid‑markets.
  • Current MA and/or CT Property & Casualty License required.
  • Knowledge of Commercial quoting and remarketing.
  • Working knowledge of insurance forms, coverage and rating.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Agency Management Systems.
  • Experience with Applied’s EPIC is a plus.
