Position Overview

RMS USA is seeking a highly motivated, trend‑driven Product Manager (Licensing) to help manage and grow our expanding inbound licensing portfolio across multiple product categories and retail channels.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for toys, pop culture, entertainment, and consumer products who understands what consumers want next. The Product Manager (Licensing) will play a key role in identifying whitespace opportunities, driving licensed product strategy, managing licensing relationships, and supporting innovative product development from concept through retail execution.

This individual will collaborate cross‑functionally with Licensing, Sales, Creative, Product Development, Purchasing, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of category strategies and licensed product launches. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is highly collaborative, commercially minded, trend‑aware, and excited by the ever‑changing world of toys and licensing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage licensed brand portfolios across multiple product categories and retail channels
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, emerging trends, and credible licensing partners to support category growth and expansion
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the North American merchandise licensing landscape, including retail dynamics, consumer insights, competitive trends, and entertainment properties
  • Lead licensed product line development from concept through retail execution, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and consumer trends
  • Own day‑to‑day relationships with licensors and partners across line planning, product development, approvals, and go‑to‑market execution
  • Support the review, analysis, and negotiation of licensing business terms and contracts in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Track and analyze category, product, and licensee performance to help guide business decisions and optimize portfolio performance
  • Monitor licensing and product performance while identifying opportunities for category extensions, expanded rights, and portfolio growth
  • Proactively identify risks, challenges, and performance gaps while working cross‑functionally to implement solutions
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Creative, Product Development, Purchasing, and Operations teams to ensure aligned execution of category strategies
  • Drive collaboration across internal teams to support cohesive brand storytelling and successful go‑to‑market execution
  • Support product innovation and creative direction by leveraging toy industry knowledge, trend insights, manufacturing understanding, and consumer behavior
  • Partner with Sales on promotional programs, line reviews, presentations, and key customer moments
  • Participate in market research, trend shopping, trade shows, and competitive analysis to identify future opportunities
  • Maintain strong communication with licensors and partners through regular business updates, approvals, and development checkpoints
  • Help identify and resolve challenges related to product development timelines, approvals, and execution
  • Ensure licensed products align with brand standards, consumer expectations, retailer needs, and RMS quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in consumer products, product management, brand management, or category management
  • Must have a passion for toys, entertainment brands, collectibles, gaming, social trends, and product innovation
  • Toy, hardlines, entertainment, or licensed consumer products experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of licensing, retail dynamics, pop culture, consumer trends, and brand positioning
  • Strong knowledge and experience with product development process
