Client Relationship Manager
Primary Purpose
As the Director of Strategic Client Relations you will manage employer-sponsored client accounts, enhancing relationships to drive retention and growth while launching new client business. The position is remote with occasional travel to meet clients in the greater New York metro or New England area.
Key Responsibilities- Strategically grow and expand business with existing clients in the portfolio, including programs such as Back‑Up Care, College Coach, Enhanced Family Supports, and dedicated client centers.
- Develop strong partnerships with clients to maximize retention and loyalty.
- Renew and negotiate client contracts.
- Sell new products or back‑up care types to the portfolio and refer opportunities to Client Services for new centers and EdAssist.
- Maintain current and accurate opportunities in Salesforce.
- Develop and execute marketing plans to demonstrate clients’ maximum return on their programs and position Bright Horizons as a strategic partner.
- Provide timely and thorough responses to client inquiries and requests.
- Analyze program utilization, communicate trends to clients, and provide strategic direction to meet organizational objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent in lieu of a degree).
- 5–7 years of direct account and client relationship management experience with a proven ability to retain clients and drive upsell opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in managing diverse client portfolios and achieving retention and growth targets.
- Exceptional relationship‑management skills that foster long‑term partnerships and client satisfaction.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and effective time management.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Effective communicator of organizational values and mission with deep knowledge of Bright Horizons services.
The annual salary ranges from $95,000 to $129,000, with additional eligibility for a bonus. Final offers will consider experience, education, certification, geography, and other relevant factors.
