Role Overview
The Senior Buyer supports the achievement of Supply Chain Management operational objectives. This role works closely with the supply chain team to support day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on data collection, analysis, and reporting. As an integral member of the team, the Senior Buyer will be actively involved in strategic sourcing, inventory planning, logistics, distribution, and ERP optimization. The position is also responsible for negotiating cost‑effective pricing, quality standards, on‑time delivery performance, commercial contract terms and conditions, and favorable payment terms, with minimal supervision.

- Oversee and follow up on all open purchase orders, ensuring that no POs are overdue and that system delivery dates are accurate.
- Analyze data to maximize supply‑chain efficiency and keep costs down for the company.
- Develop, implement, and manage supply‑chain processes and solutions.
- Set up and manage data in ERP, including item setups, costs, purchase orders, etc.
- Support various types of RFQs and conduct RFQ analysis.
- Prepare and analyze complex technical specifications, bids, and proposals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned category or region that continuously improve quality, delivery, service, total cost of ownership, and mitigate supply‑chain risk.
- Work closely with sales, product managers and forecast teams to capture forecast and requirements.
- Monitor procurement savings, operational performance, and quality claims for assigned categories.
- Establish and maintain supplier scorecards in areas such as on‑time delivery and cost of poor quality.
- Participate in supplier selection, qualification, and development processes for new suppliers in collaboration with global sourcing and quality teams.
- Prepare data and conduct analyses (individually or assisted) for contract negotiations and pricing discussions, including spend analysis, market & industry research, and volume forecasts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent education, or greater.
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Preferred experience in sourcing/purchasing, project managing, or manufacturing.
- Excellent advanced Excel and Power‑BI skills.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Applicable certifications such as CPSM or CTPS are a plus.
