Sr. Strategic Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Manager, Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics

The Strategic Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Manager is the relationship owner for Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR), Contract Manufacturing & Supply Chain Services suppliers. This role manages a diverse portfolio of global and regional suppliers, including contract manufacturers, original design manufacturers, and integrators. The supply chain services encompass manufacturing, integration, assembly, kitting, procurement, inventory management, forward and reverse logistics, and design of products ranging from custom electronic assemblies to large integrated systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing, selection, contract negotiation, and management of one or more suppliers in alignment with the overarching supply chain strategy.
  • Create a competitive sourcing environment that drives continuous improvement in engineering and logistics services, delivery, cost, quality, inventory management, capacity/flexibility, business and contract management, and social responsibility.
  • Lead the commercial and contractual aspects of the relationship and drive multifunctional teams relative to suppliers’ involvement.
  • Lead supplier performance management and cross‑functional recurrent business reviews.
  • Actively engage with Product Development, Engineering, Internal Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Finance, Tech Deployment, Worldwide Operations, and other Supply Chain teams to achieve programmatic objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and program teams at different stages of product development, with a strong emphasis on new product introduction (NPI), to scale global deployment and ensure sourcing strategies meet technical, cost, schedule, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Navigate complex dynamics between FTR and suppliers, ensuring top performance while fostering collaborative, long‑term relationships.
  • Maintain strong technical expertise in supplier capabilities, fulfillment, robotics technologies, manufacturing, assembly, and integration methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, securing competitive contracts and favorable terms.
  • Ensure contract adherence, renegotiate for better terms, and safeguard Amazon’s interests in IP, indemnity, and confidentiality.
  • Manage business relationships, contracts, pricing, and claims while implementing effective negotiation strategies.
  • Engage and influence suppliers and FTR stakeholders at various organizational levels, maintaining executive presence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, supplier management, and strategic sourcing
  • 5+ years working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams, and in project management
  • Expertise in RFQs, supplier selection, risk mitigation, and contract negotiation
  • Skilled in global supplier cost, risk, and lead time reduction strategies
  • Data‑driven approach to program execution and continuous improvement
  • Experience in process standardization and developing business strategies across teams
  • Strong leadership in NPI programs and supplier management
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, Tableau analytics, and ERP/PLM Systems

The base salary range for this position is USD – annually (USA, MA, Westboro). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
